University Hospital of Freiburg

The Radiology Department at the University Hospital of Freiburg, has a long experience in the handling and the development of information and image viewing systems (RIS and PACS). The clinic collaborates with the Association of Information Technology (AGIT) of the German radiology association. Since 1997, AGIT generates recommendations for vendors and end-users of radiological information systems and deals among others with the DICOM standardization - an open standard application for the exchange of information between medical resources - as well as telemedicine and eHealth applications.
