Saarland University

The Chair for Business Administration, esp. Management Information Systems at the Saarland University was established in 2003 and is kept by Prof. Dr. Stefan Strohmeier. Research lies at the intersection between information technology and human resource management, where numerous publications where published e.g. the textbook “Informationssysteme im Personalmanagement” in 2008.

Beside theoretically based, empirical research questions, the development of ICT in human resource management, e.g. the project “data mining in human resource management” is one of the research objectives of the chair. In SABINE, the chair contributes both, broad knowledge of current standard software and standards in the fields of recruiting and training, as well as comprehensive knowledge in developing ontologies in this area.
