The Internet of services gains in importance for users
Individualized services on the Internet are becoming increasingly important for citizens. This is shown by a new study from Austria. In the future, the respondents want to be more active in the Internet, participate more often and better use qualified personalized services. In order to provide the appropriate services within the THESEUS research program, a TEXO platform is developed on which different services can be simply combined and offered. This is an important basis for the Internet of services.
60% of the respondents consider the Internet primarily as an open knowledge platform and would appreciate better possibilities of participation. Here, the application scenario ALEXANDRIA offers the "Collaborative Knowledge Engine". Latter is an online portal that provides completely new possibilities for interaction to the users with the help of semantic technologies. Thus facilitating the development of knowledge significantly.
The study "Internet 20 years - we are just at the beginning" was commissioned by Telekom Austria and published on the 25th of May 2010.
