IMC is one of the global leading companies for learning and talent management. IMC has been built on a strong history of innovation. As a spin-off of the Saarland University the company was established in 1996 by current supervisory board chairman Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. August Wilhelm Scheer together with the board members Dr. Wolfgang Kraemer, Frank Milius und Dr. Volker Zimmermann. In 2009, IMC´s revenues reached 12.2 million Euro. Today, 150 highly qualified and motivated employees – software engineers, consultants, sales representatives, content designer and business experts - serve IMC´s customers all over the world.

Acknowledged research analysts like Gartner Inc. attest IMC an excellent solution portfolio and a leading role in the supply of innovative learning technologies. Over 500 customers – running from small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to multinational groups – as well as training providers and more than 150 universities rely on IMC´s products in order to further educate their personnel, students and clients.

Within the project SABINE, IMC develops technologies to integrate recruiting and learning based on mashup-technologies and using semantic knowledge. IMC has a strong experience in driving innovation and transfering research prototypes into products. IMC is cooperating with universities in national and international research projects such as PROLIX, ROLE and GRAPPLE.
